Dr. Alexandra Tacke
After studying modern German literature, philosophy and Italian philology in Munich, Berlin and Chicago, Alexandra initially spent seven years as a research fellow at the Institute for German Literature at the Humboldt University in Berlin where she earned her doctorate with a dissertation on the multimedia artist, Rebecca Horn. This was followed by a series of guest lecturing posts at the University of Bremen and the University of Vechta as well as a guest professorship at the Institute for German Studies at the Kazimierz-Wielki University in Poland.
As a research fellow at the Axel Springer Endowment Chair for German-Jewish Literature and Cultural History, Exile and Migration at the European University Viadrina, she established and then managed the Gino Chiellino Research Center for Literature and Migration in Frankfurt (Oder) for two years starting in 2017.
In 2019, she decided, after several years of teaching and publishing, to move into cultural administration. Since then, she has worked for the Senator for Culture in Department 12 and works to promote to cultural affairs.
